Methods To Solve Faucet Leakage

Nov 25, 2021

Generally, the problem of water leakage can be obtained by replacing the axial gasket or triangular gasket inside the faucet. Don’t forget, the main water tap in the house must be turned off before the renovation.

The problem of the water leakage is often causes by the damage to the water-stop tape on the faucet part (fixing screw). Therefore, just use a wrench to remove the faucet and re-roll the new water-stop tape on the fixed screw.

Use the wrench to turn the faucet counterclockwise to remove it. Turn the threaded hole outwards, and roll the threaded part clockwise with wind-printed tape 5-6 times. Check whether the faucet has been adjusted and bolted clockwise with the water bolt wrench. After the operation is complete, turn on the main switch to check if there is still water leakage. If the leakage is still happened, check the follow problems:

 1. Water outlet water leakage:

The wear of the axial gasket inside the faucet is damage. Use pliers to loosen the gland and remove it, take out the shaft gasket with a clamp, and replace it with a new shaft gasket.

2.  The gap under the faucet bolt leakage:

The wear of the triangular gasket in the gland is damage. You can loosen the screw to remove the bolt head, next loosen and remove the gland, then take out the triangle seal inside the gland and replace it with a new one.
